Configuration Options

Internet Proxy Cache Server
Using a Proxy Cache server with your Internet connection provides a number of benefits.

• Internal PCs do not need to have a connection to the Internet, reducing the possibility of security breaches and making configuration simpler.
• The Proxy server keeps a cache of all recent documents, reducing the number of pages that must be downloaded from the Internet, speeding up access.
• An accurate log of use is maintained.
• Only one internet account is needed.

Web Server
The Web Server option allows you to run your own Web server on your server, for creating an internal web site, or Intranet. This will allow you to create web pages that can then be viewed by your internal users and could contain company information, useful
addresses, contact details etc. It could also be used to develop and test your Internet presence before publishing on the Internet. NOTE: Specifying this option does NOT mean that external users can connect to your system for the purposes of viewing your site.
This is usually achieved by uploading your pages to your ISP, where people can then view your pages

Firewall
Whatever your internet connection, securing your company internet is an important issue. Protecting your data and security is of the highest importance and as well as protecting your internet connection, the Firewall protects your network from unwanted hackers and controls internet use.

Internet Email Server
An Email server will allow your company to communicate with external users and organisations on the Internet, whilst at the same time providing communications between your internal users.

File & Print Server
As the number of PCs within your company grows, so does the requirement to share common data files. Each user has their own copy of data, and nobody can share that data. Installing a File & Print server allows users to store their data on the server, reducing the

VPN Virtual Private Network
